Get ready to hit the ice at the inaugural I-80 Ice Fest, where novice women hockey players will battle it out from June 14th to 16th at Des Moines's Mid-American Rec Plex. Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned beginner, join us for a weekend of frosty competition and retro vibes, complete with vintage sweaters and big hair. Your Des Moines hosts welcome women with up to/around five years’ experience - we put the D- in Des Moines! With three guaranteed games for $700 per team, plus playoffs for the top four teams, the stakes are high and the excitement is palpable. And don't forget the epic trophy awaiting the victors! But it's not all about the games – kick off the weekend with a bang at our all-teams mixer, featuring door prizes and costume contests. Lace up your skates and get ready for an unforgettable experience on the ice!

Recommended WCHL Divisions D5-D7

DIVISIONS (all 18 & up)

A, B, C1, C2, D

A Division: Former high school, current collegiate NCAA Division I - III, club players or those with formal hockey training of 10+ years

​B Division: Former high school, collegiate club players or those with formal hockey training of 8+ years or long time adult players or those with formal hockey training

C1 Division:  May have some high school experience or formal hockey training or long time adult players

C2 Division:  Generally mostly adult players with minimal formal training with several years experience

D Division: Adult players with very little experience and/or training. Low skill level.
